The A-Z of Domain Registration and Web Site Hosting

Filed under: The WWW — admin @ 3:07 pm

The first step in launching a web site is selecting the right domain and employing the best web registration for your unique requirements. Mind you, it’s nearly impossible to decide on anything without some informed help. The very best method of ensuring that your needs are fulfilled is to carry out some thorough research of domain hosting providers by taking a look at reviews web site.

When you check out the domain hosting reviews, how to determine what precisely is useful and what is not? Don’t make any decisions before you discover which features are most important to your business model. Employing the same company for web site hosting and registration of your domain name is a popular option. Do be aware, however, that after your web site has been rolled out, extras like service may well become way more important than ever.

Do not rely on feedback which only appears in a company’s advertisements. It is vital to look at an objective assessment before making a decision. You must study as much client feedback as is feasible bearing in mind what all the clients have to say. Do you come across any problems over and again? What do existing clients consider is great about the company? Is the overall feedback good or bad?

As with any provider, you’ll see both bad and good reviews. It is best to study all reviews with an open mind and take everything into consideration. Of course, the cost has to be considered, but think about which services are offered for the cost. Here are various questions to follow up on when researching the most suitable hosting for your company. During what times of day does the provider you are looking at offer customer support? Do they have a toll free number, can you discover any evidence that they answer rapidly to any complaints or queries? What sort of uptime will they commit to? Do they claim it’s better than 90%? How much bandwidth will be available to you? It is feasible to negotiate a package including unlimited hosting and bandwidth, and on occasion you may be eligible for other rewards like software packages and even vouchers for pay per click marketing ads.

What payment plans are available? Must each payment be approved one by one or is there an automated option, and are weekly payments an option? What will they do assuming the server fails? The answers to questions such as these could be vital for any business operation.

In the long run it’s entirely your decsion, even so, before you make that decision, make sure you have researched all the alternatives. Remember: reading those appropriate hosting reviews will give you the chance of saving time and effort further down the line.

Buying Your Particular Online Lottery Tickets Has Never Been so Simple for the Euro Lottery

Filed under: The WWW — admin @ 7:49 am

Have you ever so questioned what the best means to play European Lotto is?

How could you win as much as possible? Or even to pocket a Euromillions Big one

Hence what could you indeed do to raise your chances?

Some people simply amble across the street and then buy their so-called lotto tickets. In the hope of winning. But then the odds of winning the lottery are 1 in a few of millions…not very hopeful, right?

Luckily, as for the Euro Lotto statistics, two in three of Lotto Jackpot winners are lotto syndicates!

So, we realize the solution. Plainly you receive a stronger opportunity to acquire the Jackpot if you subscribe to a lotto syndicate.

How lotto syndicates function?

A European Lotto Syndicate is a group of players who combine their money and buy as many lotto tickets as feasible. Each and every ticket has different numbers; so that prospects are better than taking part as an individual.

If the lotto syndicate wins, each player obtains a share from the lottery winnings. So that the more lottery players that are in your lottery syndicate the bigger your particular chances are but then; also your individual share is lesser.

You can simply do a small survey on the net, use - Bing, Google and Yahoo or several other search engines. Or you could obtain some in your localised papers in classifieds section.

Or maybe you may decide to sign-up to e-lottery

There are lots of advantages:

- You have a professional service - You will not miss a lottery draw - You will have detailed statistics in your members area - Your Particular lottery winnings are gathered and then you will pick up a Moneybookers payment with your particular portion!

- All this and a lot more from the comfort of your home

For me it means that the lotto syndicate exercises a tried mathematical system and that assures that you will match at least 1 number in every draw.

Plus, that means that even your particular pay out from Euro syndicate winnings is better than you would gain playing same lottery numbers on your own!

And finally, that means you may become an affiliate partner and after qualifying for some acquirable, doable requirements you can be taking part in your favorite European Lottery syndicate in effect for free…or perhaps you could be effectively building up your new income while taking part in lottery.

The choice is yours:

Either - Take Part on your own. Or possibly play the smarter way:

Play in a European Lottery syndicate and win more often.

Or possibly be still wiser and:

Play in a European Lottery syndicate and profit a lot more often and cover your own ticket cost and then play for free and realize an additional income.

no no for Social Networking Websites at Work for Government Staff

Filed under: The WWW — admin @ 9:00 am

The government of Montenegro has banned its staff’s use of Facebook and MySpace layouts at work last year. We have argued that this may not be the right decision for the government. As many people held a different opinion, there is no doubt that Facebook and other social networking websites have become an inseparable part of people’s daily life, people depend more and more on them for communication. It is not making any sense to block a useful communication tool only because some people may overuse it at work.

The US government seems to be following suit despite that it’s meant to support the ear of transparent social networking and welcome the use of “Government 2.0″. However, the government officials are not on the exact same track with the government. The following amusing comment is from one of those who are trying to make full use of the cutting-edge social networking technology.

“We have a Facebook page,” said one official of the Department of Homeland Security. “But we don’t allow people to look at Facebook in the office. So we have to go home to use it. I find this bizarre.”

A similar article from Wired has also catching a lot of attentions. It has been known by the public that YouTube has been banned among US soldiers. But what we don’t know is that an alternative called TroopTube has been specially designed for them, the funny thing is that it hasn’t been long since it’s blocked as well. It appears that the understanding between the government and its staff has been broken down. People who use such social networking tools may be wandering around the website for too long and slacking from work, but these websites have meanwhile become a primary choice of communication. For a democratic government, there is no point blocking such a useful tool. Figuring out a way to prevent misuse is more practical than blocking the whole thing.

Deciding on the Greatest Fast Broadband Deal

Filed under: The WWW — admin @ 2:32 pm

When clients are viewing the broadband landscape you will often feel lost. The market is saturated with high speed internet access providers offering multiple internet packages with different internet speeds and download allocations.

Potential customers might desire to find out about each high speed broadband firm directly to ascertain what internet packages the company supply, upload and download speeds the organisation supply and the supplier’s conditions and terms. If you desire to have this broadband info in one place you may want to view a comparison site. Click here to see all the Orange broadband deals in your area.

If potential customers already have a fast internet company and wish to try a new corporation then not a thing should prohibit you from changing, especially if a benefit is to be made. High speed broadband comparison websites might often be able to guide potential customers through the procedure and what steps may be taken.

When potential customers are seeking for the most appropriate offer money may not be the primary factor. Many internet companies will market an incredibly low entry package to entice possible customers over to them. When high speed packages are uncommonly low in price please make sure you ascertain what internet speed the broadband package will provide, what download allocation you yourself will be provided with and also the terms and conditions of the contract. The download limits is fundamental as a myriad of companies will probably charge browsers per Gigabyte that clients go over, so if your broadband package has an 8 Gigabyte download allocation and potential customers download ten Hollywood movies that month, you are more than likely to have downloaded 10GB (i.e. one GB per movie) - that is 2GB’s in excess of your download limit, and that is two GB worth of downloads the corporation might often bill over and above your monthly package cost.

When researching the most appropriate deal please additionally check whether or not the company will charge a registration fee and if there are any costs associated with being offered a wireless router. The aforementioned extra charges might often all mount up and clients might well be left with little savings when compared to other packages.

Thankfully, internet provider comparison sites may show any further costs and internet users can make a clever and impartial decision.

Why have a Website?

Filed under: The WWW — admin @ 11:42 pm

Many companies throughout the world today are operating their business with no website. When the internet keeps moving forward and advancing, your business needs to advance as well. If companies do not own or operate an online business as well as a physical business, they will lose out on sales and additional profits.

There are so many valid reasons why owning and operating a website is important. Reaching your target market in your own area is one thing, but having a website allows you to reach your target market world wide. Many more individuals and companies are becoming computer and internet savvy, this means to stay atop of the competition, you need to have a website that is not only informative but functional and professional. If marketed properly you should have sales or contacts via your website that are valid and valuable.

It’s not good enough to just have a website; you need to invest time and money into your online business. How to Create a Web Page within 10 Minutes

Filed under: The WWW — admin @ 10:20 am

Easy, Step-by-Step, New FREE Video Course on the Web

Finally! I got it and you can do it, too! A new, just released
FREE video course thought me how to create my own web page. And
do you know how much that cost me - 10 minutes. Yes, it cost me
noting, but 10 minutes of my own time to watch it on the web and
do it at the same time.

Brian, the guy on the video, explained how to do it and I did it
and had a lot of fun, really. Amazingly, I had to use a program,
downloaded for free, too. All I had to do was:

* open my browser * open composer page

* Enter the text

* Edit the text

* Save the page as index.html in a separate folder on my
computer

And my first web page was created!

After so many years of frustrations, paying for expensive
seminars and home-study courses, I did it! I still cannot
believe that! And it turns to be so simple to create your own
web page.

Nobody out there is giving you the basics of creating a website
in such a simple way. But that is not everything you can get
from that free course. There is much more:

* How to insert images

* How to create tables

* How to create links

* How to create multiple pages in a web site

And the course doesn’t stop here. There is a lot more about
website design in it, like:

* How to start html coding by your self (I was shocked - how
could that be so simple?)

* How to use tags and tables

* How to use color code tables

* How to create background images

* How to paste code within your web page

* How to upload it on the Internet

* …. And many, many more tools and tricks

You are going to enjoy that! It’s all new, just released
information about the latest and hottest tricks on the web you
need to know, if want to do the things properly. More that 12
hours of video you can watch any time you want.

This is really a must see course, I never saw on the web before.
I’m so exited, because I know that I’m on a way to create my
first virtual property on the Internet! You can do it, too!

Establishing Your Web Presence

Filed under: The WWW — admin @ 11:22 pm

Part of the success of most home-based businesses is their web presence. After all, you want to benefit from the global exposure, reduced marketing expenses, and low entry costs. But to receive those benefits, you must first get your web site off the ground which means you need to select an effective domain name and find reliable web hosting.

The tips below can help you accomplish both goals successfully.

Picking a Domain Name

When it comes to choosing your web site’s domain name, you need to keep a few things in mind:

1. Your domain name should relate directly to the product or service you provide. Avoid picking a name that is vague or misrepresents your company.

2. Your domain name should be easy to remember. Keep the name as short as possible, but do not use unconventional spellings or add hyphens just to secure a version of the name you want.

3. Your domain name should be simplistic. Do not pick words which may be difficult to spell or which have multiple spellings. Also, select words and phrases that are common and easy to pronounce, especially if you are aiming your business toward the general public.

4. Your domain name should be a .com address whenever possible. Avoid selecting the less common extensions which cost more to register and which will be largely unfamiliar to your clients.

Once you do select a domain name, you should consider registering other variations of the name. That way if someone uses the wrong extension or adds a hyphen, he or she still end up right where you want them.

Here are some good places to register your domain:

Choosing Web Hosting

You could literally go crazy trying to compare all of the hundreds of hosting plans and providers on the market. To narrow down your options, talk to friends and business associates who have professional web sites.

Ask them which providers they use or recommend. A number of Internet sites, such as CNET and Epinions, allow users to share their thoughts about web hosting companies, so their input could be valuable in your search also.

Once you’ve found a manageable number of potential providers, you can begin to compare plans. Here are a few things you should focus on:

• Money Back Guarantee - Many providers offer a 30-Day money back guarantee so that you can try their service risk free. Always look for this option so you don’t get stuck with a service you’re unhappy with.

• Storage Space - This is the amount of room you will have for your site. Of course, you don’t want to pay for room you don’t need, but you also want room to grow. If you’ve a small site in mind 10-15 MB should be sufficient to begin with.

• Bandwidth/Data Transfer - Data transfer (bandwidth usage) refers to how much data/information is sent to or received from your hosting account on the server over a specified period of time. Usually it is measured monthly.

More the visitors to your site, more bandwidth you’ll require. Small sites usually suffice with 1 GB/month.

• Site Speed - This is very important factor while considering a hosting service. This will decide how fast your site loads when some one visits your site. Online surfers are extremely busy, so you need a fast server. Or else they will leave your site even before it gets loaded!

You may ask your hosting provider to provide you with a list of their client’s sites (if they can) for checking their speed. Here’s a good tool to check a site’s speed:

http://www.hostpulse.com/app/networktools/ping.asp

• Customer Service - You strive to provide exceptional service and you should expect nothing less from your web hosting company. Look for multiple methods of receiving service, such as a toll-free phone number or live chat. You may also want to consider testing their response time in advance.

• Uptime Guarantee - Your web site is like your store. If your store is closed, you aren’t making any money. The same is true if your web site is down. You should only choose a plan that provides at least a 99% uptime guarantee.

• Cost - Price should also be a deciding factor. Cheaper is not always better, but there are reasonable rates for quality hosting available if you do your research.

Never pay for a full year of service upfront, though you are likely to pay less in the long run. You have to take into consideration their after sales service too.

Also, as far as possible, try to choose a hosting company that allows easy upgrade/downgrade between plans. This way you can trim down your costs to the maximum.

Using these tips and suggestions, you should easily be on your way to establishing a successful web presence and to reaping all the benefits the Internet has to offer.

How and Why to Start Writing Articles to Promote Your Website in the Search Engine

Filed under: The WWW — admin @ 10:48 pm

We will cover all the facets of writing articles in this piece.
Later on you can learn and think about each one of these in
detail as and when you choose to.

The first thing that comes to my mind is the oft repeated
sentence “I can’t write, oh! But I am not an author material”
etc. All of you who belong to this category need to re-arrange
your perspective. By saying this I am not trying to sound like a
guru. I am the most practical person I know and really, I will
give you a simple foolproof formula to writing articles to
promote your website on search engine. In return I will just ask
for one favor. Try it. Please don’t just read this piece and
leave it at that.

You could be writing article about any subject that interests
you and more important you have some knowledge about. Remember
writing articles is more about thinking and understanding of the
subject than flair and flow. It all follows. If you have written
letters, if you send mails, if you have written answer sheets in
school exam, it proves you can write. And writing articles to
promote your website is easier than you think. Because it
requires technique and knowledge, not flair and imagination,
components we normally associate with writing articles.

Coming to Why should you be writing articles; People on
the net are looking for suitable content to publish on their
sites. Webmasters, ezine and ebook publishers, forum
moderators.. everyone is looking for content. Google is looking
for content everywhere after all! So everyone else might as well
be folowing it. Google checks relevancy on content on all the
above and therefore these people want to include appropriate
content on their respective sites, ezines etc etc. Your writing
of articles will be used by these people. They will publish your
articles on their sites, ezines etc and in reciprocation shall
offer you a resource box where your short bio will be there
along with your website’s link. This means you get one link from
a site with whom you are not linking. its a one way link! One
way linking helps you move up the search engine faster. Take
note, the website or forum publishing your article is direclty
or indirectly related to your own main theme. Writing articles
is a great way to improve link popularity.

Points to remember while writing articles to promote your
website: The subject of your article should be similar to the
theme of the website you own or operate. If your site revolves
around Poker, writing article about `Healthy Living’ won’t help
in promoting your site in search engines. Let the article be
Poker related. Second important point is that your headline and
body of the article should have your main keywords in it. The
keywords you are optimizing your site for should find a
prominent place in your article and its title. Third point to
remember is let the article be around 550-750 words maximum.
Amateurs rather stick to short crisp articles than long
articles.

Now the magic tip that I was talking about. Write just
one article, keeping the above points in mind and submit it to
www.goarticles.com. One submission is all it takes to fill you
with that confidence about writing articles that you never had.
Submit and next day, go back and check how many times it has
been downloaded. And if the results are encouraging, promise me,
you will place this article on your website to help others like
you who think writing articles to promote your website is not
their cup of tea. My share of flesh!

Topics to Add When Creating an Alternate and Modern Medicine Web Directory

Filed under: The WWW — admin @ 3:38 pm

Alternate medicine finds its own place in the hearts and minds worldwide and has a separate following to back its existence. There are many subcategories that could be added to the modern and alternate medicine website directories. Although the list below is not exhaustive it is a good start. After looking at multiple directories in the web that just places everything into one big category “health related websites”. I thought it’s time to present some categories in this vibrant segment of the web; there are lot’s of websites in this category which need a separate home in the directories. Even in the High PR and traffic rich directories finding the right websites gets tough by browsing the whole category. For your reference a single line definition obtained from wikipedia is placed under each category.

• Acupuncture - a therapeutic technique intended to promote health and well-being, which involves the insertion of needles into “acupuncture points” on the body by trained practitioners.

• Alexander technique - a study of freeing response that is taught by studying one’s own mannerisms of posture.

• Apitherapy - is the medical use of honeybee products. This can include the use of honey, pollen, propolis, royal jelly, and bee venom, but most commonly refers to use of bee venom, called bee venom therapy (BVT).

• Applied Kinesiology - a form of diagnostic kinesiology that is used as a primary feedback mechanism to examine how a person’s body is functioning.
• Aromatherapy - is the use of essential oils, fragrance oils, absolutes, carrier oils, and other fragrances from plants to affect someone’s mood or health.

• Ayurveda - a more than 2,000 year old comprehensive system of medicine based on a holistic approach rooted in Vedic culture.

• Biofeedback - is the process of measuring and quantifying an aspect of a subject’s physiology, analyzing the data, and then feeding back the information to the subject in a form that allows the subject to enact physiological change.

• Chiropractic - is a health discipline that seeks to prevent and treat health problems by using spinal adjustments in order to correct misalignments, or subluxations.

• Color therapy - use color and light to balance energy wherever our bodies are lacking, be it physical, emotional, spiritual, or mental.

The other well known subcategories include the following:
Gemstone Therapy, Herbs, Holistic Health, Homeopathy, Huna, Hypnotherapy, Iridology, Macrobiotics, Magnetic therapy, Massage Therapy, Meditation, Mind-Body Medicine, Music Therapy, Natural Hygiene, Naturopathy, Orthomolecular Medicine, Polarity Therapy, Pranic Healing, Reflexology, Rolfing, Sensory Deprivation, Somatic Education, Therapeutic Humor, Trepanation, Yoga.

If you like to employ a good page rank directory for finding further categories here is one that contain links for Acupuncture, Alexander technique, Breathwork and many of the categories mentioned in this article - networlddirectory.com. Some of the definitions in this article were obtained from wikipedia.org. Author does freelancing through the no fee free freelance website freelancefree.com.
