Banner ads may not be as alluring as affiliate programs, but they still can make money. In addition, I think that many (including myself) misjudge banner ads on their performance and effectiveness. Like any marketing/advertising tactics, the techniques on banner ads have already been revised. Thus, just like we see on the developments of content in most sites, ad banners now focus themselves on a more effective, attractive ads and a much specific targeted audience.

Here are the reasons on why you should choose to include banners on your marketing effort:

1. Banners make people remember you because your ads are displayed several times all over the Internet’s pages.

2. Banners are likely placed on the pages, where your target/prospect audience will be visiting.

3. Banners could instantly drive traffic to your site or make visitors purchase a product/service.

Below are tips for a successful banner ad campaign:

1. Consider the right graphic. Do not just pick the coolest graphic or animated graphic, but think of a graphic, which fits the overall tone of your ad.

2. Choose the right size for your ad.

5. Also consider branding strategy on your banner campaign. This may not be important at first, but may be very much helpful on the long run.
